Yoga and Spirituality

There is no doubt about the fact that Yoga at its core is a spiritual discipline. Yoga has been practised for centuries, but many people have misunderstood it. It's not only about becoming flexible or strong; it's also about improving our inner health and mental strength.

Spirituality does not mean religion but rather a way of living your life according to the teachings of God in your heart, mind, and soul. There are many different paths to spirituality, but all paths lead to the same place: The realisation that we are one with God.

What Does Yoga Actually involve?

Hatha yoga involves physical postures for relaxation and healing. Kundalini yoga is another form that requires purification through breathing exercises and helps awaken your energy centres called chakras and open up your third eye or crown chakra so you can see beyond what is seen with the physical eyes.

Yoga has been practised for thousands of years in India. It was born from the philosophy of raja yoga, which means "the path to the union" with the supreme through spiritual practices- such as meditation and contemplation. The yogic system consists of three components: pranayama (breathing exercises), asana (postures), and pratyahara (sense withdrawal).

Yoga and Spirituality

Yoga is the art of union with God and is also called bhakti or devotion in Hinduism. Hindus have practised it for centuries, making it an essential part of Indian culture.

Over the years, yoga has experienced many transformations, and different paths were developed depending on what tradition you follow.

Yoga: A Holistic System

Yoga is a holistic system that includes physical exercises and meditation to improve your physical fitness, mental agility, emotional well-being, and spiritual consciousness. It is a way of life that integrates body and mind.

Yoga could be your opportunity to spend time with yourself and learn how to feel better in your own skin.

Yoga: A Way of Life

Yoga is a way of a happy life, not just a series of exercises. Yoga mainly focuses on connecting mind, body, and spirit to create balance in our lives.

It's a way to care for yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually. The word yoga's true meaning is "union" in Sanskrit. The crucial focus of yoga is to unite with the consciousness within through meditation.
