This is one of the best ways to introduce yourself to my style of yoga. This is especially good for beginners and those with very little flexibility. We use different props to make it convenient to get into a position (Asana) and to experience the freedom of movement.These sessions are also perfect for those who are doing rehab for sports related injury.
If you have been practicing yoga for a while and want to challenge your strength and flexibility then this session is for you. However there are options for every posture to make a smooth transition for new students. If you have any back pain or wrist or hip injury then please take extra precaution.
These classes focus on flow and floor stretches. I want students to experience stillness in the movement so we hold the postures a little longer, which in turn develop the strength and flexibility. In the beginning of the class we'll end up doing lots of sun salutations to get the calisthenics effect of yoga. We work on developing functional strength along with flexibility.
These sessions are a mix of yoga and pilates. We incorporate toning exercises for arms and legs, along with effective and intelligent movements for core. Practitioners will get the best of both yoga and pilates in these sessions. Doing these sessions will help you shed weight and improve muscle tone.
Whether you want some hands on approach or you enjoy the company of your fellow students or you want to go a little deeper in your practice, you will benefit from a face to face yoga session. It’s more like a private session, because I keep it a very small group. There are limited spots and bookings are necessary.It’s suitable for everyone from the ultimate beginner to those who wants to go further in their yoga journey.
Children encounter emotional, social, and physical challenges every day. It effects their psychological, mental, physical and spiritual health. Every parent & school should empower children with tools of self improvement, self development & empowerment. A dedicated and intentional yoga practice that includes physical posture, breathing & relaxation techniques, and tools to teach concentration can be incredibly valuable for them.
In yoga I teach my students “to try easy not hard” and don’t push, don’t force. So yoga mat is a sacred space where a child can experience play and focus without any pressure or competition. Yoga is amazing for all kids, especially those kids who shy away from physical and/or group activities because of the fear of failure or not performing to the parents/teachers expectations. Yoga is not just physical postures it incorporates values of non-harming, truthfulness, moderation, cleanliness, gratitude, and self-discipline. These values will instill compassion, confidence and strength of character in our children, and will make them model citizens.
Above all yoga will finally teach our children how to focus and concentrate. Every parent and teacher tells them to concentrate but they don’t teach them how? Success is directly proportionate to our ability to focus and concentrate, more we are able to focus and concentrate more we’ll be successful. Yoga teaches us how to maintain the constant flow of awareness on any subject. It is an indispensable tool for self development, healing and empowerment for all human kind and all children will benefit from it.
